Best-selling writer for children and entertainer David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.

A representative for the publisher commented: "After careful consideration, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the conclusion was reached following an review of claims about conduct deemed unsuitable involving young women.

The firm declined to specify the reasons for its decision, noting: "We do not comment on internal matters."

A Prolific Writing Journey

Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies globally in dozens of tongues.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

Some of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.

To date, he has released more than 40 books altogether, encompassing a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.

A Dual Career

He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.

The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
