This actor, whose filmography spanned Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore, died at her home in Ojai, California. The news was revealed in a statement shared by her daughter, award-winning actress Laura Dern.
Dern, who performed alongside her mother in several movies such as Wild at Heart, described her as “my amazing hero as well as my special gift being my mom”, noting that she was present when she passed.
“She was an exceptional daughter, mother, grandmother, star, artist as well as empathetic spirit that only dreams could have seemingly created,” she expressed. “We were fortunate to know her. She is flying with her angels now.”
