FC Barcelona Ready for First Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend

Barça revealed their first game will take place at the still-under-construction Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome Athletic Bilbao in La Liga two and a half years after they moved out to allow renovations to start.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators are permitted inside under the licence granted. After final construction, the Camp Nou is due to hold over 104,000 attendees, a rise from the old capacity. The club said recent additions comprise a renovated tunnel for players along with upgraded changing facilities.

Recent Activities

Barcelona held a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium in early November. Officials stated they are seeking authorization from European football’s governing body to play their next home Champions League game against Eintracht Frankfurt in December at the stadium. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
