Iran's military claims to have hit a US naval base in Manama, as the country executed strikes across the region in response for a "massive" and ongoing assault against it by the US and Israel.

Airspace Engagements

In other parts of the Middle East, the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait - which all house US military bases - reported they have engaged and destroyed incoming projectiles in their air space.

In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Defence announced it had intercepted several missiles apparently targeting the Al Udeid Air Base, the largest American base in the region.

IRGC Statement

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said in a statement it was attacking US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in reprisal for the strikes on Iran launched by the US and Israel on Saturday.

That preceding assault - executed at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far targeted locations linked to the Iranian leadership, with President Trump urging the Iranian people to rise up against the leadership.

Wider Impacts

In Israel, sirens were heard across the country after the Israeli military stated it had detected an incoming Iranian missile barrage.

The defence ministry of the United Arab Emirates stated that the nation has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"Emirati air defenses responded to the missiles with high efficiency and successfully intercepted a number of missiles," the statement continued.

The statement noted wreckage fell on a residential area in the capital, causing some property damage and killing a civilian.

The United States Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, south of Abu Dhabi, along with the Emirati Air Force.
