Plane Carrying US Defense Secretary Forced to Land in UK Because of Crack in Windshield
An aircraft carrying the US defense secretary was forced to make an unplanned landing in the Britain on Wednesday following a fracture was discovered in the plane's windshield, according to an official statement which stated that the secretary was unharmed.
"The plane landed based on established safety measures and all passengers, among them Pete Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson commented in a social media post.
He was traveling back from a quick journey to the city of Brussels when the incident occurred.
This event does not mark the first occasion that a US military aircraft transporting a high-ranking official has experienced equipment failures.
Months ago, a United States Air Force aircraft ferrying the US Secretary of State to the city in Germany was forced to return to Washington after experiencing a technical issue.
