The young golfer will have plenty of well-known backers when she starts her professional golf debut later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is connected to a former US president, was granted a tournament invitation to play at the Annika tournament in Florida.
Her grandfather, an avid golfer, operates numerous golf courses and often plays against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we have tight competitions," she revealed.
The golfer shared that Trump, who won't be present, told her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"My grandpa practically advised me to compete and enjoy myself," she added.
"In my eyes, he's simply a normal grandpa. He's not attending for the tournament. He's occupied with running the country, so he's quite busy."
As an amateur, the golfer has competed in only three events this year and holds position 461 in AJGA standings.
Yet she's able to receive tips from golf legend, who is dating Kai's mother.
"He is the greatest golfer globally," Kai expressed.
"Furthermore, he's a more impressive individual. He advised me to compete, enjoy myself, following the flow."
She'll challenge multiple most prominent players in the sport at the competition, featuring second-ranked the champion, England's golfer Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Officials commented that her participation exposes the sport to new audiences, specifically among the next generation.
